An unflinching Ozark mountain girl hacks through dangerous social terrain as she ties to hunt down her father through a complex world of feuding kin, patriachal violence and meth addiction before his absence causes their evection. Bleak, haunting and yet somehow hopeful.
Feb 23rd – From The Heart of the World (1991)

Otherwise, the world will die.” – Kogi Mama The Elder Brother’s Warning is a 1990 BBC film made with the Indigenous Kogi Peoples in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia. Having resisted colonisation attempts from the Spanish and the more from the capitalist world they now detail their world view and their warning to the rest of the world that we are destroying all around us and need to fix up. Cinema Klandestino returns from far off galaxies to present this important documentary.
2nd March – Anvil! The Story of Anvil (2008)
Rockumentary charting failing Canadian heavy metal band Anvil. After a brief moment of fame in the 80s, the band slipped into obscurity, but refused to give up or stop churning out albums for over thirty years. Now in their Fiftys, will Lips and Robb finally achieve rock and roll stardom with a seemingly doomed tour of Europe. A hilarious study on the power of hope, delusion and permed mullets.
9th March – Samson and Delilah (2009)
Samson and Delilah’s world is a small, isolated community in the Central Australian desert. When tragedy strikes they turn their backs on home and embark on a journey of survival. Lost, unwanted and alone they discover that life is’nt always fair, but love never judges.
16th March – Man Bites Dog (1992)
A camera crew follows a serial killer around a he exercises his craft. He expounds on art, music, nature, society and life as he off mailmen, pensioners and random others. Slowly he begins involving the camera crew in his activities and they begin wondering if what they’re doing is such a good idea.
23rd March – Hard Candy (2005)
A mature 14 year old girl meets a charming 32 year old photographer on the internet and is lured to his house. The line between predator and prey is quickly blurred however.
30th March – La Haine (1995)
Vinz, a Jew, Saïd, an Arab and Hubert, a black boxer have grown up in a French suburbian ghetto, subjected to high levels of diversity coupled with the racist and oppressive police force have raised tensions to a critical breaking point. During the riots that took place a night before, a police officer lost his gun in the ensuing madness, only to leave it for Vinz to find. Now, with a newfound means to gain the respect he deserves, Vinz vows to kill a cop if his friend Abdel dies in the hospital, due the beating he received while in police custody
